On June 23, Iberdrola France and Ailes Marines organized a visit to the offshore wind farm in the Bay of Saint-Brieuc: an event exclusively dedicated to the women who are helping to make the project a reality. Departing from the Pointe de L'Arcouest, the guests were able to board the Vedettes de Bréhat for the offshore wind farm and appreciate the scale of the project.
As part of the impact studies regularly carried out by Ailes Marines and several specialized scientific organizations, a new analysis was conducted by the Laboratoire des Sciences de l'Environnement Marin to assess the impact of noise associated with the construction phase of offshore wind turbines on the Coquille Saint-Jacques and the Praire.
On Tuesday 20 December 2022, the Comité Régional de la Conchyliculture Bretagne Nord (CRCBN) and Ailes Marines signed an agreement to finance a feasibility study for an Integrated Multi-Trophic Aquaculture (IMTA) farm project. Financed by Ailes Marines, the feasibility study will aim to determine the regulatory, technical and economic conditions of this innovative project.
Offshore wind power is a true emblem of the energy transition and has already won over many countries. The production of energy by offshore wind power is indeed very interesting depending on the geographical location of the farms. In France, it has a real potential, thanks to a vast and windy maritime landscape. Discover it.
Anxious to develop a wind power project that respects the environment and is integrated into the Bay of Saint-Brieuc, Ailes Marines has put in place a team of engineers and specialized doctors. It was important for the company to carry out additional studies in the interests of transparency and responsibility.
Since the start of construction of the park in 2021, there have been numerous installation steps. The collaboration of several key players has ensured that deadlines are met and that massive pieces, such as the jackets foundations, are carefully transported to the park's location.
As we approach the delivery of the project scheduled for 2023, we take a look at the latest major advances in the project.
