What is your educational background?
I first obtained a law degree at the University of Le Havre. I then decided to take a gap year between the end of my degree and the beginning of my Master's degree. I chose to go to Scotland, to Aberdeen.
On my return, I joined the Master of Maritime Activities Law at UBO.
What is your job?
Can you tell us about your missions?
I am a Marine and Maritime Environment Officer.
Under the supervision of Marie Thabard, who is the Environmental Compliance Manager, I assist her in obtaining all the permits and I have to liaise with the different project teams to ensure that these permits are taken into account in the project.
Why did you choose the Marine Renewable Energy sector?
The development of new green energies has always interested me, because of its innovative and indispensable character. However, I really discovered the Marine Renewable Energy sector during my studies and in particular during my first Master's internship at the Maritime Prefecture.
Integrating a project of this scale, and particularly the one in Saint-Brieuc which is the result of the first tender procedure launched in 2011, is a real opportunity.
I am convinced that the development of renewable energies is indispensable today.
What are the advantages of a young profile?
It is an innovative and promising sector. For my part, the advantage as a young profile is to have been able to study these projects, particularly from a legal point of view during my studies, and to have been able to follow the evolution of the various projects from an outside perspective at first. On the other hand, gaining experience in this pioneering project is an opportunity to be part of this new dynamic that encourages the development of Marine Renewable Energies.
If you had to define your early experience with Ailes Marines in three words?
Intense, rewarding and challenging.
