Follow-up measures
The reef effect
Objectives and methodology
Monitoring the reef effect of the foundations of the St-Brieuc offshore wind farm is not prescribed in its authorization. On the other hand, Ailes Marines is committed to the environmental impact study of the park in 2015, to monitor the reef effect of the foundations:
- Monitor the dynamics of biocolonization of structures for 25 years
- Characterized the reef effect associated with the biocolonization of structures
- Detect the appearance of non-native species, particularly crepidula
Several variables are measured via ROV monitoring:
- The rate of recovery of structures by marine organisms
- The specific composition of sessile and vagile species assemblages
- The size and characteristics of fish populations
- Identification of species of particular interest
Schedule and Status
Measure currently implemented
This monitoring is carried out on 6 wind turbine foundations as well as the electrical substation.
Follow-up period : 2024-2028
