A visit to the heart of the park
Specially dedicated to women involved in the project
Departing from L’Arcouest
On June 23 , a sea visit was organized by Iberdrola France and Ailes Marines to the site of the offshore wind farm in the bay of Saint-Brieuc: an event exclusively dedicated to the women who contribute to the realization of the project. This is how, departing from the Pointe de L'Arcouest , the guests were able to board the Vedettes de Bréhat bound for the offshore wind farm and appreciate the scale of this achievement.
Marie Thabard , Offshore Development Director of Iberdrola France , and the female project teams warmly welcomed the women present and took advantage of the travel time to make a presentation of the project and an update on its progress.
His detailed explanations on the environmental measures , already undertaken or to come, confirmed Ailes Marines to environmental preservation.
The technical and logistical means deployed
This visit allowed participants to take a closer look at the first elements of the offshore wind farm in the bay of Saint-Brieuc, currently under construction.
They were able to discover the different nautical technical means used, in particular the impressive Aeolus , 140 meters long by 45 meters. This specialist boat is essential for drilling and installing piles, a crucial step in creating wind turbine foundations.
In the presence of the WISTA and We Evolen women's networks, regional stakeholders as well as companies who worked on the creation of the Saint-Brieuc offshore wind farm , this visit was able to highlight the women who play a role essential in the realization of this project, their expertise and their remarkable commitments.
