Ailes Marines mobilizes the expertise of local companies to support the creation of the Saint-Brieuc offshore wind farm.

Since 2012, from the start of the project, Ailes Marines has aimed to make the Saint-Brieuc park a driver of economic development for the region with the aim of bringing together and getting local businesses to work on this project. .

Ailes Marines therefore favored the use of services from local companies. For example, the companies selected were mainly chosen in Brittany and the Grand-Ouest region for:

  • Carrying out environmental studies, creating the layout plan for the maintenance base
  • Installation and uninstallation of cardinal and marking buoys
  • The supply of weather & turbidity buoys, the carrying out of civil engineering works, etc.
  • Public debates and other events
  • Manufacturing of wind turbine foundation components
  • Coordination of maritime works

By soliciting large local companies, VSEs, SMEs and ETIs to carry out various works and services, the development of the Saint-Brieuc offshore wind farm has generated additional activity in the region but has also enabled the development and the sustainability of specific local skills.
