The electrical substation at sea

The substation will be positioned in the center of the Saint-Brieuc wind farm on a jacket-type foundation. It will house all of the park's automated control systems, as well as all the equipment ensuring a reliable electrical connection between the wind turbines and the onshore network.

A key element of an offshore wind farm

The Saint-Brieuc substation will play a central role, collecting the electricity produced by the 62 wind turbines and raising the electrical voltage, through power transformers, in order to limit energy losses during transfer electricity to the coast. Within the offshore substation, the current increases from 66,000 to 225,000 volts.

“We look forward to working alongsideAiles Marines to provide clean energy in France, thanks to our cutting-edge substation technology and our expertise in integrating renewable energy into the grid terrestrial electricity. »
