The installation of the first of the 62 wind turbines which will equip the Saint-Brieuc wind farm was carried out on May 9 by Ailes Marines ' contractor, the company Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy. This operation was carried out from the jack-up vessel Brave Tern of the Norwegian company Fred Olsen windcarrier.
Last March, Iberdrola France and the Institute for Energy Transition (ITE) France Energies Marines signed a research and development agreement. Iberdrola France is therefore now a member of the Institute.
On February 24, Ailes Marines , a subsidiary of Iberdrola, inaugurated the temporary technical base of the Saint-Brieuc offshore wind farm. Ailes Marines a 100% subsidiary of the company Iberdrola, supports France Energies Marines in setting up monitoring of fishery resources within the offshore wind farm off the bay of Saint-Brieuc.
The Northern Brittany Regional Shellfish Farming Committee (CRCBN) and Ailes Marines today signed an agreement to finance a feasibility study of an Integrated Multi-Trophic Aquaculture (AMTI) farm project, in the park and around the foundations offshore wind turbines in the Saint-Brieuc park.
