Ailes Marines , a company 100% owned by the Iberdrola group, today announces the installation of the last jacket foundation of the Saint-Brieuc offshore wind farm. Following the restart, at the end of June, of installation operations for the jacket foundations, this latest implementation marks the end of the installation campaign for the foundations of the 62 wind turbines in the park.
All 62 wind turbine positions and the electrical substation were drilled and equipped with piles by the AEOLUS ship from the Van Oord company. Its mission completed, the ship left the work area today.
The installation of the Saint-Brieuc offshore wind farm is progressing, since the 31st wind turbine was installed at sea this week, or 50% of the wind farm made up of 62 wind turbines. The gradual commissioning of the park will ultimately make it possible to supply 835,000 people with green energy, for a power of 496 megawatts.
