Ailes Marines, a company of the Iberdrola group in charge of the development, construction, installation and operation of the Saint-Brieuc Bay offshore wind farm, selected Saipem to transport and install the type foundations “jacket” and the upper part of the offshore substation.
Iberdrola confirms the launch of its 4 billion euro investment in France. The contract for the supply of the foundations, whose total amount amounts to 350 million euros, was signed this morning by the president of Iberdrola, Ignacio Galán. The foundation components will be assembled on the Brest port polder.

Ailes Marines, in charge of the development, construction, installation and operation of the offshore wind farm in the Bay of Saint-Brieuc, has just signed with the Prysmian Group, world leader in the systems industry of power and telecommunications cables, an 80 million euro contract to supply the inter-wind turbine cables for the Saint-Brieuc wind farm.
Ailes Marines, in charge of the construction, installation and operation of the Saint-Brieuc Bay wind farm, selected the Dutch company Van Oord to transport and install the 62 jacket foundations (metal lattice structures ) as well as the foundation piles of the electrical substation.
Iberdrola has reaffirmed its ambitions in the offshore wind sector, following the conclusion of an agreement to acquire 100% of the company Ailes Marines. The latter develops, builds and operates the Saint-Brieuc offshore wind farm, in France, a country which has become an increasingly strategic market for Iberdrola.
