The first green electrons produced by the Saint-Brieuc offshore wind farm were injected into the national electricity grid by its manager, RTE. This is the second French offshore wind farm to produce its green megawatt hours.

After the testing phase, production of the wind turbines was activated on July 5 from the Ailes Marines maritime coordination center based in Kerantour (Côtes d'Armor).

The park's production will increase as the 62 wind turbines are installed and commissioned. Ultimately, the Côtes-d'Armor department will produce 9% of Brittany's total electricity consumption.

“It is with great satisfaction that we launched production of the park’s first wind turbines. A symbolic step of 12 years of effort to carry out this gigantic project, which contributes both to Brittany's energy sovereignty and to the energy transition, a key element in the battle against climate change. »

Emmanuel Rollin, General Manager Iberdrola France.
