All of the wind turbines at the Saint-Brieuc offshore wind farm are installed

- Ailes Marines , a 100% subsidiary of Iberdrola, today announces the complete installation of the 62 offshore wind turbines at the Saint-Brieuc wind farm, on schedule.
- Less than 3 years after the start of construction and installation work, the last 8 MW wind turbine was installed on its jacket foundation on December 17, 2023.
- The commissioning of the park, effective since July 2023, is progressive and continues until Spring 2024 .
- On this date, the 496 MW park will produce 9% of Brittany's total electricity consumption.

The installation phase of the park is completed
The installation phase of the wind turbines in the Saint-Brieuc park is complete. The jack-up vessel Brave Tern of the Norwegian company Fred Olsen windcarrier installed the last 8 MW wind turbine on position SB49 on December 17, 2023.
The ship will have completed 18 rotations from Le Havre, with the constituent elements of 3 to 4 wind turbines on board.
Work to install the wind turbines began in May 2023. In the space of eight months, the 62 wind turbines built in the Le Havre factory of Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy were installed on their jacket foundation.

Commissioning in stages to reach a power
of 496 Megawatts
The technical commissioning of the park began with the connection to the national electricity network of the first wind turbine in July. It will end in Spring 2024.
The commissioning of the park will be done in stages.
A first tranche of 20% is already operational. A second tranche of 50% will be completed at the start of 2024, to reach 100% during the first quarter of 2024. On this date, the park with an installed capacity of 496 MW will produce approximately 1,820 GWh/year, which corresponds to consumption annual electricity consumption of 835,000 inhabitants (heating included) or 9% of the total electricity consumption of Brittany.
