Launch of the IBReizh program: the Brittany Region and Ailes Marines are committed to territorial development.

In parallel with the deployment of the offshore wind farm in the bay of Saint-Brieuc, the Brittany Region, represented by its president Loïg Chesnais-Girard, and Ailes Marines , today signed the IBReizh program agreement, intended to support projects on Breton territory.

Funded by Ailes Marines and co-piloted by the Brittany Region , the IBReizh program is launched for an initial period of 7 years and aims to be part of local dynamics. By relying on key players, the program will prioritize actions linked to the sea , renewable energies, preservation of the environment and marine and coastal biodiversity.

In addition to allowing local economic projects to be financially supported during their development, this collaboration is part of the commitments made by A iles Marines more than ten years ago, during its response to the call for offers.

The support possibilities will be consistent with the location of the offshore project , with among others: support for the fishing and aquaculture sector, economic development and training, tourism development, protection of the environment and biodiversity.

For the President of the Region, Loïg Chesnais-Girard : “ This program will contribute to the ecological transition of Brittany, it is an imperative that we can all share, which will have a mobilizing value in the territories.
