The Aeolus vessel has completed its drilling and pile installation operations for the 2022 campaign

As of November 28, 2022, the Aeolus ship has finalized the 40th wind turbine position. Three days ago, it returned to its home port in Vlissingen (Netherlands) to carry out its in-depth annual maintenance (cleaning and checking of tools, machines and drills) which will last between 1 and 3 months depending on the needs identified. The Aeolus will return to the work area during the first quarter of 2023, to continue drilling and pile installation operations on the 22 remaining wind turbine positions out of a total of 62.

On November 28, 2022, Ailes Marines organized its first evacuation exercise on board the electrical substation, at the heart of the Saint-Brieuc Bay offshore wind farm. The aim of this training was to evacuate 2 injured people, one by helicopter and the other by transfer boat, with the aim of verifying knowledge and internal Health and Safety (H&S) processes.

At the beginning of 2021, the Saint-Brieuc team launched the Mock-up project which was mounted on land in Esbjerg (Denmark) in the Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy facilities. During these 4 months, the teams worked on building a full-scale replica of the connection between the transition piece and the lower section of the wind turbine tower (including wiring and internals).
